The hot tire that many in San Diego PCA are enjoying are Falken Azenis (I think I mis-spelled that.) I haven't tried them yet but they are said to stick well but give little warning before breaking away. Some people are turning in some ripping good times with them and they are
cheap (I was told $43 each from Tire Rack for 195/60/15 and I think $48 for 205/50.)
The also look very bad-a$$. with an asymetrical tread pattern that puts most of the stickem at the outside of the tire and the rain channels to the inside.
