Does this mean you found a bolt gun?

I don't have it, but I've settled on a Rem 700 SPS Varmint. A dealer is trying to get one for me before the next local show where I can pick it up. Should work out, otherwise Buds has it instock.
I figure the action and 26" 1/12 twist barrel was a good start. I'll probably upgrade the stock and install a drop mag kit at some point inaddition to any work on the action. I figure it's going to be a long range toy that I use to challenge my shooting.
Back on topic I should have mentioned thr the barrel is a 1/12 twist and I'd like to use factory ammo since I'm not set up to reload and probably won't anytime soon for lack of time.
So with the 1/12 twist, what is the heavy end of my range of ammo?
With a bolt gun, I don't see how using a coated steel case could damage anything. But I'd like to hear opinions regarding the technical disadvantages of using steel case.
