If that had happened in CA there would have been 50 cops in SWAT and riot gear rappelling from helicopters and in perimeter "tactical positions", followed by the sword-wielder being gunned down with about 2,000 rounds. Then the thief's next-of-kin would (successfully) sue the guy's estate for ten million dollars. His lawyers would take five million and the tax man would take another three. Then they'd blow the remaining two million in six months on crack and bling and 22" spinner rims for their Yukon.
Can you see why I'm anxious to get out of CA?
