I've worked with Ron on a couple films. He's a nice guy, married to his High School sweetheart and they have a few kids. His daughter Bryce Dallas, I worked with her on Terminator Salvation and you can tell she had a good upbringing. He gives his brother Clint a part in all his films.
I have always thought it was nice the way Ron did that.
And I have wondered if Clint's career may not have been a little bigger -- after reading his bio and resume' it hasn't been too shabby, and he's a very good golfer, too -- if he hadn't have had Ronnie's shadow to work in.
I mean really... Opie, Richie Cunningham, etc. You can hardly get away from those two characters in reruns even today.
Clint, I think, could have been a bigger "star" doing those nervous, villanous, quirky types -- sort of like a meaner, stranger Woody Allen -- than Ron's good guy characters.
Maybe, maybe not.
I look forward to seeing this film "Alabama Moon." I'll be at the premiere tomorrow night.
John Goodman is the main "star" from what I've been told.
