Buy a 2007-up Sienna (newer drivetrain) or a 2008-up Quest (lots of little changes)
The Quest is 'quirky' so some love it, some hate it. The seats fold flat, unlike the Sienna, but in a way that still allows comfortable seats and quiet interior (unlike Stow-N-Go)
The Quest's 3.5L VQ V6 is the same as in a Maxima, G35, 350Z, Altima, et al. One of the best engines out there. Timing chain, same as the Toyota. Maint costs should be equal.
The Quest handles better and rides about the same. Gas mileage within 1 mpg.
The Quest is literally thousands less, depending on how they're equipped.
