If the helmet is ok, it does not matter who it is sold to.
If the helmet was damaged, it should not be sold to anyone at all.
I say sell it to anyone who wants to buy it. If you say it is ok, has not been in an accident, then you know for yourself that you are not harming anybody.
It is up to the buyer to verify the condition of the helmet, and decide whether to purchase or not.
If you know it is in good condition, what is the problem? It is not like you are forcing anyone to buy. The buyer will do so out of free will.
Maybe OT was not the best place to try and sell it. You could have known that here you don't get paid in dollars, but in opinions.... (I don't know how many opinions you get for 1 dollar, I would say a lot...
)
I would try the FS section, CL, fleabay,... all at the same time.
Helmet looks good, it'll sell, no worries.
