no worries chris, hikacking is most welcome when i comes to F1!
there are ongoing attempts here to make the surface better, i am surprised that it wasn't more sorted this time round actually.
i think those prices must be in SG$, it's about US$1 = SG$1.5 at the moment. last year i had grandstand tickets right on the bend that piquet jr "crashed" at and they cosst me about US$250 each.
i have been to sepang in malaysia also for the F1, was good fun but this part of the world is far too hot for daytime races - although i do manage to head there fro track days in my min without aircon!
