Maybe the reason Letterman had to reveal all of this is because there's more to the story than just having sex with your staff. Publicity-wise, he probably did the right thing by telling the story himself. Maybe there was coercion or sexual harrassment involved or maybe the women who said no were never promoted. Maybe his involvement(s) created a hostile work environment. I just think there is something more to this. But Letterman need not worry. I'm sure he and his family will be shown the same privacy and sympathy that he showed Sarah Palin's un-wed teenage daughter.
