SSI's have always had their name and a part number embossed in them. I think back to when I had a 914 2.0 some 30 years ago and they had a p/n on them. And the SSI's I bought for my SC back in '83 had the SSI name and p/n on them.
One other way to see if they're even worth using is a bit more difficult. An SSI uses a single piece primary pipe all the way from the head flange to the collector. No welded joints inside the heat sheet metal. Virtually all copies are two piece with a welded joint inside the sheet metal. This is potentially a dangerous situation since the weld could leak causing carbon monoxide to escape into the heater boxes and then into the cockpit. SSI has gone to great lengths and expense to design and manufacture their pipes in one piece for both performance and for safety.
No logo or p/n, then they're fake. Case closed. They're not an SSI and the seller is wrong. Just because he was duped by an unscrupulous seller doesn't mean he can screw you. He advertised and sold as SSI and they're not.
Please share with us who the seller is. And get a copy of the original invoice the seller supposedly got that identified these were "SSI" so you can send SSI after them as well for selling copies. SSI, it's product, and it's name are all legally protected.
