So what is the point in installing a high energy, high voltage ignition system if you are unable to open the plug gap in order to take advantage of the higher energy available with a bigger plug gap? The factory gap only requires the lower voltage that your stock system already supplies.
In my situation, I was able to take full advantage of the energy available with the stock DME ignition by upgrading my ignition cables, cap and rotor to make the 0.060 plug gap work.
