Got the bike today. Too busy doing family things to get a chance to ride it but here's some shots as it was being put together by the dealer...
When I pulled up to the dealer I noticed a white "R" bike out front. No bags on it. I wondered why they hadn't attached the bags. As I got closer I noticed it was an 80th edition Rockster. Haven't seen one of those in a while.
My bike was inside. Surrounded by a roped off area. It was WAY better looking than I thought it was going to be even with the bags attached.
I should be able to get some riding in tomorrow and I'll take a pic or two and work on a ride report. What I could tell from the short ride home -
1) The bike was very stable. The damper on the front can really be felt...in a good way.
2) Air flow isn't as clean as the HP2S but it's way better than I thought it would be.
3) It's quiet. Can't hear it on the freeway.
4) Very strong pull off the line. The engine feels as smooth as a IL4.
5) Between the bags and the preload set all the way down I've got some work to do on the rear. It felt like a dog wiping it's tail on the lawn when I tried to turn.

I'm sure that can be adjusted out.
6) It's BEAUTIFUL. The entire bike has a very classy look to it.
I'll post up more late tomorrow.
