In FL. you can Reorganize your debt in some cases, i.e. you have a BK attorney go to you debtors and try & negotiate a lesser amount, some stuff just go back to the debtor & a payment plan to a Trusty.... I know of one case where a guy whose wife turned out to be a major coke head, cleaned out all the assets, got him fired from his job, she ended up in jail, left him literally penniless, bank took the house, lost pretty much everything.. Well, a few months later, he was working again, and the bank still had his house on the market.. Well, the bank contacted him, and offered to sell it back & reorganize the loan....

Yes, he is back in the home, while his wife is in prison.....
