You can count me as fortunate. I don't hate my job but for the first 18 years I did. Despised it. Automotive at the OEM level is not for the faint of heart. I look back and wonder how I did it. Getting in my car after work and literally holding onto the steering wheel screaming bloody murder. Then other times the complete opposite, getting home sitting in my chair trying not to weep. I'm in what's called general industrial now, it feels like semi-retirement, (and they gave me a 10% increase to take the job
. I do count my blessings to not only have a job but a good, well paying job. For not choosing my profession it's OK.
