Two boys riding in a convertible were hurt when one of them drove off the edge of a road and their vehicle plunged a hundred feet down a cliff, it was reported Sunday.
The accident, which happened at the 20000 block of West Sesnon Boulevard, occurred Sunday at around 1:44 p.m., according to Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The convertible had landed on its wheels and the two boys, ages 15 and 12, were reportedly able to climb out of it, firefighters told the Los Angeles Daily News.
The 15-year-old boy took his father's Porsche out for a joy ride, then possibly lost control, the newspaper reported.
Both boys were in serious condition and were taken by helicopter to Childrens Hospital Los Angeles.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
