Not vintage, but priceless....A friend of mine from elementary through high school who lives in Alabama called me to tell me her son (A new Marine) was being stationed at Miramar. He was going to be driving from Alabama, so I told her he should stop for the night here and stay in our cabana. He made it here right before midnight and was pretty tired from the long rainy drive. We visited for a short while and I showed him where everything was in the cabana to make his stay comfortable and said our goodbyes as I would be gone before he woke up. This afternoon I went out to the cabana to find he had left everything "squared away" and on the table was a bottle of "Jarhead Red"
On the label it reads: "Jarhead Red is made by Marines, for Marines. The net proceeds from the sale of this wine benefit the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation who provide educational assistance to the children of fallen Marines.
