I did figure out what I needed on the menus. Basically have to disable the menu's from certain views by making that menu not available when another menu item is selected. (Not sure if I explained that right, but it's working for my purpose.
I'm going to be building a baked software demo and just needed something to display the 'meat' of the demo.

If you intend to write a lot of php then you do want to look at Drupal or Plone.
If you need access to a good backend guy I encourage my guys to freelance. They get paid to improve their skill set and it benefits me for free
Got this skinny little 24 year old who looks like he's 10 and has been getting paid to build commercial sites since he was 12 who is scary smart.
I give him a month to do stuff that should take two months and he does it in a week.
