It really is a great operating system from the get go, Vista had teething problems in it's infancy that gave it a bad rap, but in it's final stages is comparable to the First release of 7 in terms of performance and stability. (Home Premium and Ultimate only, Vista basic is still a piece of crap)
I've been using Windows 7 since August and have nothing more to say other than it does what I ask without giving a fit.

Some vista drivers work, MY 9800 GT SLI cards do not. Video is OK on ONE card, try to enable SLI and it's BOSD. Known issue, no fix yet.
