We had a weirdo for a neighbor. He started to rent out his basement to a pot head who promptly burnt down the guy's garage. The fire damaged the guy next door's hot rod bus / camper etc and was a pain in the arse for the rest of us in general.

When he built the new garage, he kept burning pressure treated wood and all sorts of other smelly **** in it. We all complained numerous times to no avail. Finally he sold the house and moved away. We had a big party after he was gone.

I sold our house a year later and moved onto a farm out in the country - the closest neighbor (a cop) is 1/2 mile away and i could care less what they do over there. One of the other neighbors was shooting something the other day - not sure if it was cows, gophers, coyotes, deer, elk, moose... it doesn't really matter, they are 2 miles away and I could barely hear the gun shots.
