I had Weltmeister bushings in my 914 and they squeaked like an old rocking chair. Unless you are going to do an entire suspension upgrade, I would suggest you stay with OEM. The stiffness gain will be minimal compared to the annoying sound. Note that the previous owner installed the bushings and I do not know if he did it correctly.
