Yep, black has to be the most difficult to get right, as you say 'unforgiving'.
It took ages to get them right but I still think it was worth the effort.
I assisted a lad who put RSR style arches on his car which was white and to be honest I think you could paint it with a roller and it still would have looked good. White is a colour that just stays 'flat', just the opposite to black.
When it's clean its very clean, when is a little bit dirty it's filthy.
