I was surprised that the Angels were able to win a single game. The Yankees lineup, top to bottom, is outrageous. Nobody is beating them this year. Barring catastophic Yankee injury, the Phillies have zero chance -- that's right, zero - of repeating.

Don't confuse me for a Yankee fan -- I'm a Red Sox fan. But this roster is stacked. Even as a large market fan and knowing it would make the Sox less competitive, I'm starting to believe the argument for salary caps. It isn't right that NY can buy this team while Kansas City -- a city with a fine baseball history in it's own right -- is destined for the cellar every year.

For that reason, I was actually hoping that the Yanks would sweep all 3 series to the championship and maybe get more people thinking that a salary cap is necessary.
