Don't confuse me for a Yankee fan -- I'm a Red Sox fan. But this roster is stacked. Even as a large market fan and knowing it would make the Sox less competitive, I'm starting to believe the argument for salary caps. It isn't right that NY can buy this team while Kansas City -- a city with a fine baseball history in it's own right -- is destined for the cellar every year.
For that reason, I was actually hoping that the Yanks would sweep all 3 series to the championship and maybe get more people thinking that a salary cap is necessary.

How many Philly games a year do you watch? 2? 3?
The Phillies led the NL in all kinds of categories, and have perhaps the most dangerous line up in baseball. What's more they have the defending AL Cy Young award winner, and the reigning World Series MVP pitching for them. Had lidge and co. not blown so many saves (17) earlier in the year the Phillies could be a 110 win team right now.
The Phillies BUILT their team, they did not buy it like the Yankees did.
The Phillies will crush the Yankees in 5 games, just like they crush everyone else that faces them.
