If you really messed up a kid, or heaven forbid, molested a child. A larger group of guys came to your home at night and took you "for a ride". Then you usually weren't seen for a few days, and then you promptly move away. Is it vigilante justice? maybe. But it worked, and things were a HELL of a lot safer back then.

I agree whole heartedly. the time i saw a man beating a young girl i walked up to him , i turned him around and landed a punch so hard he actually spun around before hitting the ground.then he got up spitting blood and came towards me so i grabbed him by his shirt and threw him head first into the side of a pickup truck and when he bounced off i grabbed him and took him down and pinned him to the ground. after that he was totally compliant. when the cops came they tolled me they would've done the same thing.
