This story...
really really upset me today...and has been on my mind all day...
A test of convictions - CNN.com
Is this a case of:
1) False accusation and target due to race
2) Lack of finances equating to less than equal opportunity in the (unjust) Court System
3) The inadequacy of the Police system
The fact that the report and article talks about
"We get about 200 to 300 new letters a month" from prisoners who say they've been wrongly convicted, says one attorney at the Innocence Project, a national nonprofit that works to exonerate the innocent"...
had me pretty upset and distracted most of the day..how do these people falsely accused go about seeking recourse...it says in the article that most falsely accused spend 12years before they are freed...12YEARS! That is close to half a normal working person's career.
Sigh in disappointment.
Your thoughts...
