Ferrari seems to be able to get away with imposing rules on customers that no other manufacturer would be able to get away with.

Ferrari (illegally) enforces price controls on dealers in the U.S.. The reason being is that if a car is declared a lemon, Ferrari has to buy it back at the price the customer paid. This nearly bankrupted them in the 80's when two F40s that sold at many multiples of MSRP were declared "lemons".

It's also my understanding that if a Ferrari is ever serviced by a non-dealer mechanic that dealers may refuse to service it in the future and it will not be granted certification for resale.
