Garage
Ok all. This was the most exhausting few days. As some know i have 71e but this car is way over my head and my knowledge of porsches. This car makes my e look like a honda...

Car is officially in our garage. I went in with the ferrari mechanic that brought me the deal. Several trying ups and downs over the last few days and i will write a full write up with new thread in day or two. Mike Kuhn of dallas with 68s will write up the story on the s site. He has been a big help in the last few days with tech questions.

Here is the readers digest version. Pics will probably be a few days, prob begining of next week for i havent worked in two days and i have inlaws coming in for the weekend. I also want to show pics that i authorize with my partner on the deal.

I reserve the right to change information for some is my speculation but probable speaking to several members. Some will be verified from porsche and will try to contact the orginal owner i believe still alive in italy.

I believe the porsche was first owned by Dr. Mario Daolio. Dr Daolio some might know as the orginal owner of 911r that was sold to Japan businessman now with collector in belgium for just under 1 million.

I believe this was his 911s before his r. This s has several r options including r hole behind the passenger door for oil cap. Filler cap is gone and plumbing but it came from factory this way. Did they use R bodies for s's?. This was used for racing and personal use. The car has an orginal r rear decklid and several other racing pieces on it. I have original ethopia license plate. The interior of the car look like it is brand new. No cracks, perfect original rubber seals, sport seat for driver ect. Exterior has original polo red paint.

Negative right rear fender dent where car hit it in the garage. This is why the car was put in storage 35 years ago so i cant be too mad at it. Doesnt look like hard fix and one historer says we can keep the original paint on the car. The car has been sitting in storage with no rust anywhere on car. The car seem to have no pitting in the chrome for we were told the previous owner coated with some lubercant for long term storage.

Other negative was we were promised lots of documentation including racing pics ect. So far they are still lost in storage unit and we will continue over the next few days to source our speculations...

Worst case we have a very nice original s.

Thanks don.
