Never heard of anyone giving any Durometer test numbers for billet aluminum ... but I suspect they are quite a bit harder than a bowling ball, and they are pretty high up on the hardness scale! Ever heard the phrase 'Hard as Woodpecker lips?' Same hardness area!
I suspect your only problems with solid mounts wound be the extremely high noise level transmitted into the body structure!
