The cabrio engine mounts are part number
911-375-043-07, and are the same as the one used on the clubsport (M637). Porsche used a vibration damper in the support bar for the engine and a shock absorber to reduce vibrations. The cup washers have been used in the way you describe for many years as stock from the factory.
