If you have Targa top wind noise it is 98% one the following two or both. I am in the Targa top restoration business and this we, who know why, my phone has been ringing off the hook with wind noise questions.
1.The top reinforcement is worn out under the vinyl. There is no strength in the top for the reinforcement has crumbled and stretched. This is what the top vinyl is attached to but now the vinyl releases and the beading stands up.
2. The wrong over the windshield seal was installed sometime during the last 12 years. The top sits to high maybe 1/4" to 3/8" and vent widows appear too low. If this seal was replaced you can be almost certain it is wrong. What the factory started doing and everyone else followed suit since 1995 is put a 90-94 seal in a 70-89 bag.
