The only 'ODD' thing I see in that pic is a BALLAST resistor sitting next to the coil, which is a definte NO-NO in a CDI system! Is that aluminum-cased coil a Brazilian-made Bosch 0.221.121.001 coil?
Both Bosch CDI-systems AND PermaTune systems drive the tach directly from the points ... the same point that triggers the CDI or PermaTune unit!
