There are two sides to this story......
GAINESVILLE - University of Florida quarterback Tim Tebow said Monday that Georgia players were doing some of the same stuff that got Gators linebacker Brandon Spikes in trouble during Saturday's 41-7 win against the Bulldogs.
In fact, a video is circulating online of Georgia's Nick Williams hitting Tebow well after he hands off the ball on a running play.
Tebow said Monday that cheap shots just fire him up and he doesn't retaliate.
CBS video shows Spikes reaching into the helmet of Bulldogs running back Washaun Ealey and moving his arm back and forth as if trying to gouge at the freshman's eyes. UF coach Urban Meyer suspended Spikes for the first half of this weekend's game against Vanderbilt.
Meyer said Spikes' action was retaliation for something that happened in the game. There were five personal fouls called, three on Georgia. This hit on Tebow was not among them.
At one point in the second quarter, officials gathered Tebow and Georgia linebacker Marcus Dowtin together to warn them about the rough actions of both teams.
