Help selecting control arm for 944

Hi!

I need some advice setting my car up for track duty (and eventually Super Cup). It's a 1986 944 Turbo. Note that these are, from the factory, early offset cars with no ABS. The suspension is still stock, with no M030 option. I'll be upgrading the suspension next year, likely with one of the paragon kits (Porsche 944 and 944 Turbo Suspension Package.).

I've been told that two common failure points on this car are the hubs/spindles/rotors as well as the control arm ball joints.

So, I replaced the hubs/spindles/rotors today with those from a later S2. Great. Mission accomplished. Except that: a) I have all kinds of positive camber now, and b) I noticed that one of my ball joint boots is split.

So, rather than mess around with the ball joint (which I must now assume is contaminated), I'm going to just go all in and replace the whole control arm (I'm thinking with a Racer's Edge set). My question is whether to get the short arm (since it's a 1986) or long arm (since it's got later spindles/hubs/rotors).

And, does it make sense that by switching to the later spindles/hubs/rotors I lost a lot of my negative camber? Does that reinforce the idea that I should purchase a long control arm?

Are there other good options for the control arms?

Any other advice?

Thanks for your help!
