keep it simple unless it is empty it is easy to service
It is not like a 535, and especially not like a Z28 (a sample couple of watercooled cars I had experience with prior to my first watercooled Porsche-and first Porsche coolant flush). I had concerns too, and figured how to do it easy and without problem. It is not hard at all, there is a little handle on top of the filler cap. The air goes to the reservoir, then you add more 50% coolant/ 50% water as needed. May have to run it, shut if off, add a little more. There is a drain under neath near the rear (this is the most important part) and once you know where the drain is it is it is easy.
I have learned to do it like this , and to change out a gallon or two every oil change. That is what I do. If keep the car level, less comes out. So if it will make you feel better raise the front a few inches more than the back and a lot more will come out, then later times, you will probably see all is well and not want to empty it as much any more (as that is when it takes a couple of tries to top it off. Remember it is not like a Beemer where you have to purge it.
Just trying to keep it simple for you. I am sure there is a need for a more complex method when it is empty, as there are scores of feet of coolant lines on your car.
Regards,
