Well, this would be delightful news to those many Pelicanheads who are forever and 100% confident that private business can do anything and everything more efficiently than any gubmit agency. Once the change has taken place and the public option becomes history with no chance of returning.......then we'll have perhaps dozens of private postal services offering various bundled packages that all cost more than what you are currently paying. They'll "compete" with one another through expensive marketing campaigns and cater mostly to commercial accounts. They'll sign you up to multi-month and then multi-year service agreements and you'll be as delighted by their service as you are with your cell phone provider.
