Great pics! I've been to one top fuel drag racing about 10 yrs ago. Never would forget about it. Everyone needs to experience it once. What about eyes? Those nitro exhaust burns the eyes, too.
Here's more facts I remember off my head.
- The number of crank revolution from start of race to 1/4 mi finish is around 600. That's not a typo, yes 600 revolutions!
- Who will get to the finish 1st? A top fuel dragster starting from dead stop or an Indy car passing it going 200 mph all the way to 1/4 mi finish? Top fuel.
- There's no transmission. Just a clutch and 1 gear. The clutch pack gets replaced after every run.
