So, out of what junk yard car can I snag a suitable newer rotary compressor that will be compatible with r134a?
I would check on ebay for a new one; I have bought a genuine new in box sealed sanden 508 for less than $100-- you just have to shop around. (OT: I have a chromed 508 sanden that is NIB that I need to part with-- I was going to need a smaller profile to fit my custom application of a type 4 in a vw squareback).
