Here is a perspective that has done me well in real estate. Buy to sell. What will net you the best upside when you sell it. Doesn't matter if it is 2 years or 20.
Note: I also like the wife's better.
Also note: those houses would be 3x or 4x where I live. Salaries aren't THAT much better!
