The extra hose from the underside end of the air breather goes to a fitting on the (frame?)...just below the oil filter.
It took me more than a week to figure out what mine should look like...but aparently I got it wrong...my hose just drops down from the snout and passes to the right side and then up into the "frame" fitting.
I think it has something to do with heated air to the snout.
