My wife and I have had a little joke between us since we started dating. Anytime we see a guy(usually older) wearing light blue, stretchy material jeans we say "trucker pants".

My Dad used to wear them and we would kid him about shopping at the truck stop for clothes. He took it in good jest.

Lately, I've noticed more and more old fellers wearing these jeans, a very stiff baseball cap with "Korean War Veteran" or other type words, and what looks like a flight jacket. My Dad wore the same type of stuff.

My question:

Are these guys harking back to their younger days when they were in the military and "showing off" a little or are they just really comfortable clothes?

This is not in any way is meant to disregard the service to our country, I am merely curious if anyone else has noticed this trend.
