[Oh Haha]

I was laid off in February from my 18+ year job. I went to work for the company that our owners sold to and hated it. Promises to move me into management quickly went away after a major deal fell through.

I was extremely pleased that they laid me off in May.

While I miss the salary and perks that came with being in management, I do not miss the stress or the crap that came with it.

My job now is low stress and very little effort is needed to do it. I do my job and then go home. It's not what I plan to be doing in 5-10 years but it is allowing me to spend more time home during the week.
