1986 Porsche 944 na

Time has come for me to put my Guards red MANUAL NON TURBO Porsche 944 up for sale. I am a Porsche enthusiast and have put a lot of $$$ in this car over the 5 years that i owned it (I am the 2nd owner).
The title is clean, it has 174.000mi on it and it passed smog with flying colors in January 2009. Registration is current till March 2010...although actually I'm keeping the plates...duh...

Over the years this car has received the following (and more...). All parts were NEW. I never cut corners on this car. ALL of this maintenance was preventive. I never got stranded once:
- Timing belt/Balance belt (twice, the first time when I bought it in 2005 and the last time 20.000mi ago). >>> So no worries there, as this is the Achilles heel of these cars.
- Tensioner rollers and waterpump right after I bought the car. >>> These need to be changed every other belt change.
- Replaced oil cooler seals. >>> Read up...they're a common failure on 944's.
- Full coolant system overhaul. This includes new coolant hoses, a new radiator and a new coolant reservoir. >>> Car never overheats, not even in 100000 deg SoCal weather.
- Bilstein HD shocks all around, Weltmeister 250lbs springs. >>> This baby sticks to the road, seriously.
- Stainless brake lines on 4 corners, plus overhauled brake calipers, new Zimermann cross drilled rotors and pads. >>> A car only goes as fast as it can stop.
- B&B Billy Boat stainless cat back exhaust ($800 retail) >>> Nice conservative, but sportysound, not booming or drilling your ears on the freeway. not an Ebay fart can by any means...
- Magnaflow highflow cat >>> This keeps the SMOG people happy.
- Transmission flush >>> This car shifts fantastic. The gearbox is in top shape.
- Set of new REPLICA Fuchs rims. 16x9 (245) and 16x7 (225). I still have the original wheels. >>> These wheel look brand new. VERY hard to tell they're replica's. Tires have about 30% thread left, so plenty.
- Shortshift kit >>> This is a must have on ANY 944. Shift is smooth and tight as I also replaced the shifter bushings.
- Radio/CD from a newer 911 with aux hookup for your iPod or satellite radio. >>> Gotta have the tunes...
- Neoprene seat covers (nice!) >>> Driver's seat is ripped on the bottom. Passenger seat and back seats look great. Covers are very high quality.
- Small parts to fix up the interior, like a glove box repair, missing bolts, yada yada
- original wheels present, as are the sunroof cover, original toolset, car manual and warranty booklets, original tire pump (!!!) and a bunch of parts that I replaced and where I kept the stock parts. So come with a truck when you buy the car...

The car has a 'sweating' oil pan gasket, but nothing too serious. Just top off the oil once every 2 months.
I have an extra set of cast iron exhaust manifolds that i had ceramic coated. I also have a lower valance of a 944 turbo that I never got to put on the car.
The body is in decent condition. There is one fender bender behind the left rear wheel from when somebody hit my car when it was parked...and I wasn't there (may you burn in hell!!). NOTE: This dent is not visible in the pictures, as these are a couple months older...I don't want to mislead anybody. It's a dent and nothing more that that. In fact, it's probably easy to pop out as it's at the wheel well storage area, which is easy to get to.

This 944 has been an excellent daily driver in the last 5 years, but it's time for me to get something more practical. I did most of the maintenance myself. The first timing belt/waterpump/rollers job was performed by a local indy Porsche shop. I am mechanically inclined and have ALL receipts of the work I and the Porsche shop did. Needless to say the folder is about 8" thick...

Anyway, i can keep going on and on about this car. If you're looking for a showroom condition low mileage garage queen 944, then please DO NOT call me.
If you're looking for a nice dependable daily driver (I drove it to from LA to Frisco last New Years without any issues) with some cosmetic wear and tear, call me. I just want this car to go to a good home...I'm trying to be as honest as I can in this add, so I don't waste your time and you don't waste mine...Makes sense, doesn't it? It makes me sad to sell it, but that's not your problem...
$3000 takes it and I think this is a very fair price for what you get...Motivated to sell!

OK, enough talk. Thanks for looking.
