I am insured by Hagerty and 2 weeks ago today at just about 9AM I went for a ride and a rock hit my windshield. I got home and called them, they told me no problem call whoever I want to have it fixed give them the claim number and their number to call.
I called my local Porsche guy to find out who can install a 911 windshield and do it right. The people I called contacted Hagerty then returned a call to me and told me I was getting a new windshield, new gasket and new chrome trim.
The adjuster contacted me asked me a couple of questions and told me that he talked with the glass guys and they felt it was better to start with all components new. He sent me the check for $568 and told me to pay them when I was satisfied with the job.
Pretty easy and no hassle. Not a question popped up about where I was going, the time of day or penny pinching on the cost. The adjuster did assure me that Hagerty does not charge any surcharge on renewal for glass claims.
