I used to run PF90's and they worked great. However, 90's have been discontinued and replaced by the PF97. Upon switching to the 97's I, and several guys I race with that also switched, started experiencing frequent caliper failures. I have had two fronts fail. Two other guys running mid 80's Carrera's have had multiple front and rear caliper failures. In one instance, three of 4 calipers failed simultaneously. We all have ducted brakes. In all cases, the outer end of the caliper failed. PF has admitted to having similar feedback on the 97's, especially from Mustang drivers. We run mainly in Texas and it's hot as hell at most of the tracks we run at.

The weird thing is 75% of the time they fail after the event with the car sitting on the trailer.

I have purchased a set of Pagid Orange and I plan on trying those next time out. Also, the problems got so bad at the Texas Motor Speedway club race that several of us also switched to Castrol SRF.
