Short story:

My wife quit her job 4 years ago to be a stay-at-home Mom for our 2 kids. All was well until I was laid off from my career in February. My wife took a retail job working nights so that we could make ends meet. I hate it but we need the benefits.

Her former company has asked her to return to her job in HR but this time as manager of the dept.

This has all gone down in the last 48 hours so we are kind of stunned still but this is the perfect job for her.
While it's not what we had planned(we will need to use daycare services as well as the extra cost of fuel, lunches, etc.), we doubt the opportunity will present itself again.



I don't ask for much from my Pelican family but we could use some good thoughts and good luck wishes for this to come through for her.

We really would appreciate it.
