I have a wide format printing press for silk screen that can go up to 49 inches...maybe next summer I can do some Porsche posters...and it would do 23x31 frames on the horizontal just fine, but the way the mounting bar for the screen clamps was made (square Al tube over round and welded), I couldn't do 23x31 on the vertical, which would make life so much easier. What needed to be done was cut the welds, grind them down, cut the square tube down and then re-weld.
it's one thing to call a few local places and explain and get quotes and then, more likely than not, have them screw up the job. It's another to be able have the job done with a 100% guarantee that it will be done right.
A PM to Tim, he agreed to do it, didn't want to take a dime to do it (there are ways around that), I shipped the tubes out, they were done in a few days and he shipped them back. Of course, they are perfect. Just got them mounted back up.
