The commute is.... well the commute. However lots and we're talking about half the state of NH (ok maybe exagerating a bit) decends upon Boston every weekday morning and leaves every evening. They come from all the major arteries crossing the NH/MA border.
There is really no easy way to get around the commute time and live in NH unless you do something like switch your arrival and departure times. Which borders on the crazy or impractical. Its the trade-off made for living in NH. If you manage to drive to a commuter rail stop and take the train in/out, you will save some time and at least have some time where you could read or do light work, but don't expect it to be a huge time difference.
It's all about personal trade-offs really. There are pros/cons to residing in MA or in NH. You have eliminated MA as a residence option so hopefully the pros to residing in NH outweigh the cons for you.
