Fraud on eBay, who knew?
First off, do you really want to know? Or will you be happier just driving the car and enjoying it? Secondly, if someone was going to alter the VIN and chassis numbers, (which you appear to suspect) wouldn't they have switched to a clean VIN?
If you want to dig into this....
Do all the VIN's on the car match? The trunk, VIN, the A-pillar VIN, the door jamb sticker? There are few more (maybe the hood and doors?)....and one under the dash on the cross beam?
