I got flamed on another website for suggesting it was way too much effort and risk to drain a BMW bike's final drive by hoisting it up 90 deg. rather than just dropping the pivot pin and final drive unit. Someone actually posted a photo of a few guys holding up a R1200RT to drain the FD fluid out that way. Unreal.
