The air intake for the 944 S is in the front of the engine, not in the wheel well like the others. So a new intake is not necessary cuz you don't have to worry about sucking up water. You can use your stock air box and replace the OEM filter with a K&N or other type of high performance filter. I know that performance products sells the K&N air filter for the 944 S.
