i'm starting my stock 2.4 e rebuild.
i had case savers installed by ollies.
i plan on reusing my steel studs, they cleaned up nicely.
when i test fit them they bottom out at 139 mm.
waynes book says set them at 135mm.
is 4mm a problem? any possible solutions?
i've considered running down a tap but read an earlier posting that said this resulted in wobbly studs.
i could also grind 4 mm off the end but am afraid this would mess up the threads.
